Kumarans
has always upheld Indian values and customs. To help imbibe such values, our school
has a Value Education class once a week, where, values are not taught, but an environment
created where the children are made to realize the importance of a certain value,
appropriate to their age. This happens in a sitting called “Circle Time”, where
every child gets an opportunity to debate/ speak of an issue that disturbs him/her
and open up to the issue. This enables the children to get sensitized to the issue
and helps them to solve it. The teacher all the while monitors the whole sitting
and facilitates in motivating the children to imbibe those values that help an individual
to evolve into a refined being.
